" When they asked me the typical question of why I wanted the job, I talked about New Meaning and the difference it made to me ... it is through your encouragement and support; and through New Meaning that I have reached this point. You certainly came into my life for a reason and I know this was it."

New Meaning Ltd

Through our consulting and leadership work over the past 10 years we have identified an increasing number of people seeking to make sense of their careers, or lives in general. The most commonly asked questions include:

In the past years we have noticed that many people in hard working careers do not judge themselves to be successful. They are questioning whether they are simply contributing to someone else’s success, or live in fear of being found out as impostors and labelled a fraud.

We decided to try and understand the motivation behind the questioning process in more detail. We began to look for effective methods or approaches that could help people who were actively seeking a stronger sense of direction and meaning in their lives.

Our research identified that most personal development courses focus on improving personal performance: motivation, positive thinking, stress management, harnessing your potential, maximising your strengths, uncovering your personal power, and on the list goes.

Yet the questions we are being asked focus on the meaning and purpose of an individual’s life. People increasingly want to apply themselves to something meaningful, making them feel proud and valued by others.

The challenge is less about personal motivation or skin deep psychological techniques for survival and more about how to find something to believe in and pursue with real vigour. This is not just about what we do and how we do it – but also why we do it and what it means to us.

The culmination of our research is the development of The New Meaning Programmes; for people seeking to engage in a unique and highly personal philosophical process. Through the programmes

you learn techniques that can enable you to acquire the knowledge, tenacity and resilience needed to tackle the most powerful of life’s questions with relish and enthusiasm.

New Meaning has a clear vision: to provide you with a unique opportunity to explore and interpret personal meaning; define a clear and worthwhile purpose; and shape and energise your work-life contribution.
