"Pro-Active Life Skills (PALS) enable young people to gain tools for life; they better understand how their personality, attitude, positive behaviours and motivations can help them when making career and life choice decisions

Practical techniques help students with the questions, choices, challenges, attitudes and emotions they will encounter throughout their lives

Techniques are selected from the "4 D's" model of Appreciative Enquiry (below) and offer the core skills required to work positively with change throughout their lives, to remain healthy and with a meaningful approach to personal growth


 

Learning themes mix

All workshops are tailored to meet the required outcomes of each young adult group.  The workshops are structured by adapting the following exercise based learning themes.

  • Why is work important in our lives?
  • Life Stages - how your focus changes as you move through different stages; presenting different life challenges and career questions
  • Awareness - understanding your personal style, the impact of your emotions and how these influence behaviours, thoughts, feelings and choices
  • Fit for Life – how your strengths were shaped by your unique life experiences. 
  • Envisioning and “Lasting Legacy” - how you can start shaping your future experiences today and the power of dreams if they build on current strengths
  • Humanity – how that which is important to you can be important to others and how  your purpose can be connected to others
  • Designing choices – how to make effective choices and therefore follow the direction that suits you best
  • Shaping attitude – the hidden power of attitude and the importance of your attitude.  The single biggest asset in life
  • Test and measure - how to turn move from dreams to reality
  • Pace-maker – how to shape meaningful action and the power of incremental steps towards goals and ambition
