About New Meaning Training at Thomley - New Meaning Training has a highly aligned and very special relationship with Thomley. This charity creates a place where everyone can develop, offering activities and learning for people of all abilities. Spread over a 9 acre site just outside the village of Worminghall between Oxford and Aylesbury, the place is spacious, welcoming and of course, very inclusive. 

Since September 2021 our collaboration has delivered year-long course (term time) to add to the rich and diverse Thomley portfolio of life-long learning activities.

The  learning centre offers two main education programmes with a third (PALS) being launched soon.

The main programme at Thomley is the Achieve Lifeskills programme which is designed to empower and support young people in everyday fundamentals for living life more independently. The course works towards a Certificate or Diploma in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development (SET-PD) as well as English and Maths Functional Skills. The results for our 2021-2022 cohort were excellent, with 100% achieving their certificate or diploma, 100% achieving their maths, English and employability qualifications.  Four of the nine students have decided to continue at Thomley for a second year and five transferred to college courses. Ask us about our Boost programme and our PALS programme if confidence boosting in preparation for going into a work environment is what's needed.
