About New Meaning Bucks & Herts
Welcome to New Meaning Training Bucks & Herts. We’re based in High Wycombe but our work reaches out across the whole of Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. We were the very first New Meaning Training centre. We opened our doors in 2015 although some may know us by our old name, “Toolshed”. That name worked when we were focused on purely Construction Skills, but we’re now offering a much wider offer which includes a work placement based year-long programme called 'Work & Study', as well as our life skills programme for EHCP holders called 'Achieve'.

We are passionate about giving young people the best chances. As part of this we've long worked with Amber from Mama Bee. She's a highly experienced Youth Work professional who really knows her stuff when it comes to overcoming the challenges young people face, all of which can affect their capacity to learn and engage.

New Meaning Training’s offer now reaches out across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. We provide further education for post sixteens as well as training and work experience for people with an EHCP. Our aim is to help young people to make progress with their learning and feel inspired about their future, becoming either work-ready or taking their learning journey onto the next step.

Finding our Centre
We actually have two centres in High Wycombe and they're within striding distance of each other. Our Construction Skills Programmes take place in the Baker Street building and the Achieve Lifeskills Programme takes place at DesBox on East Richardson Street. Both are really easy to find. Parking can be tricky but if you're only stopping by to say hello a short visit to the Aldi Car Park should be fine.
