About New Meaning Training Berkshire
Welcome to our Berkshire centre. We’re based in Reading but our work reaches out across Berkshire and the Home Counties. We opened our doors in June 2020, although some may know us by our old name, “Toolshed”. New Meaning Training has been providing opportunities to hundreds of young people since it launched in 2015 in High Wycombe and now has centres reaching out across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. We provide further education in Berkshire for post sixteens as well as training and work experience for people with an EHCP. Our aim is to help young people to make progress with their learning and feel inspired about their future, becoming either work-ready or taking their learning journey onto the next step.

Welcome to our centre here in Reading. Take a look inside! See for yourself what makes our centre unique and set apart from anywhere else. We are conveniently located just opposite Tesco, as well as only being a 25-minute walk from the centre. There are so many different spaces for you to learn, study and relax, all designed to make you feel the most at ease. Want a better look? Why not speak to a member of the team and arrange to come in and take a look for yourself?
New Meaning Training has helped me to get to where I want to be in life. They have helped me to go to volunteer at a youth programme for Sport in Mind. I will be helping kids with mental health play sports and coach them.

Finding our Centre
Our address is 28 Portman Road, Reading, RG30 1EA (SatNav RG30 1DZ). We are directly opposite Tesco and next to The Door Store (which is a bright red building, so easy to spot). If arriving on foot, there is a path to the side of the building which will bring you round to the entrance at the rear.
If travelling by car, turn off Portman Road at the Eden Vauxhall dealership (RG30 1JG) onto Little John’s Lane, then first right onto Loverock Road. Look out for PlastixPlus and The Door Store on your right – turn between these two businesses. Drive past The Workshop on the right and into our car park.
